$50.00

Raffle Ticket – Heidarvatn Lodge, Iceland

The Experience

Our Iceland expedition is for those who value solitude, wild beauty, and meaningful impact. Set in the breathtaking Heidar Valley, guests fish two private waters: the Vatnsa River and Lake Heidarvatn.

With only two rods allowed on the river and six on the lake, this is a rare chance to fish pristine, uncrowded water that few in the world will ever experience. Whether you're chasing Atlantic salmon, sea-run browns, or Arctic char, the limited access protects the fishery and ensures every angler enjoys a world-class adventure.

About Heidarvatn Lodge

Angling at Heidarvatn is made unique by its mix of fishing venues and target species, all set within the vast and inspiring Heidar Valley landscape. Guests split their time between the River Vatnsa and Lake Heidarvatn, each offering distinct opportunities:

  • River Vatnsa – reserved for only two anglers, an intimate setting where salmon and trout thrive.

  • Lake Heidarvatn – accommodating up to six rods, with productive fishing for trout and Arctic char in the still waters.

The lodge’s low angling pressure ensures solitude and sustainability, while fostering unforgettable days on the water.

Species & Seasons

Depending on the season, anglers may encounter:

  • Atlantic salmon – runs begin mid-July, peaking mid-August to mid-September.

  • Sea-run brown trout – present from late August through October.

  • Resident browns & Arctic char – fished from May through mid-August with classic stillwater and river techniques.

Why This Raffle Matters

Every ticket fuels Fly Fishing Collaborative’s mission to build sustainable aquaponics farms that prevent child trafficking and create jobs that empower families. When you cast your line in Iceland’s Heidar Valley, you’re also casting hope for communities around the world.
